P!nk - Funhouse [Digital Release]

P!nk - Funhouse [Digital/Web Rip]
E
arly this year P!nk had separated from her husband Carey Hart and was in talks to soon release an album. A couple months later a press release was issued and we then recieve get first single "So What". Then quickly she had scored her first solo #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100. I've always been a fan of P!nk and felt she has always delivered with her albums. As for her latest "Funhouse" it fails to dissapoint and she brings us another solid effort. It's an album filled with empowering lyrics and fun pop songs. Hitting all the right spots whether it be a ballad or uptempo pop/rock track. This is an album you'll deff have to check out and BUY YOUR COPY OCTOBER 28TH!!

I agree with you on saying this album was only OK compared to her last one...her last CD had soooo many hits. This one I havent really gotten into yet, but i will keep listening to it.

I was not impressed with this album at all. There's only a few tracks that are worthy.
1. So What.
2. Sober (the best track on the album - it's amazing.
3. Mean, is alright.. it has this fun bar room feel to it.
4. Ave Mary A, mediocre track, but fun.
5. This Is How It Goes Down, starts off great, but the vocals and the song just don't live up to what's expected.

To me it sounded like she tried to do a duplicate of her last album, but failed to do it... She has a good mix of hard and soft songs, but it doesn't jell together at all... we need the fun and deep pink that we're used to... Sad!

Love Ave Mary A, Funhouse, Glitter In The Air, All Your Fault, This Is How It Goes Down... okay actually they're all pretty great songs. I just don't like the one that comes after Sober, I dont even remember it's name.
Maybe next time more upbeat song P!nk. They're always great.

This cd has such a creative, raw feel to it. As much as I love I'm Not Dead, it feels overproduced and too poppy. Funhouse is a great balance of rock, pop, funk, r&b, motown, and folk. It's run, introspective and personal. You can tell she had a great time recording and fooling around in the studio. This album is very enjoyable.

My favorite tracks:
Please Don't Leave Me
It's All Your Fault
I Don't Believe You

And the two bonus tracks are awesome.

Creative and surprising pop. I'm impressed.

It's All Your Fault is absolutely amazing. It's almost too good to even be included on this record. I'm completely speechless...

it's called funhouse where's the fun i'm so over all these slow songs i want somthing that's feel good

You guys complain about not having enough fast, fun songs. It's her record. She just got a divorce. The slow songs are gorgeous in their own right. It's mostly mid-tempo and up-tempo anyway.

I think it's solid.

It's a very good, solid effort.
Nothing outstanding but much better than a lot that's out there now.

Personally, I'm in love with Pink's new album. A great artist has periods, different versions of themselves on their projects. This is Pink's 'Mellow' period, and I love that type of laid-back music. I started the disc from 1 and truly loved every song.

It would be so predictable if most of the songs were the same as the great but bratty "So What."

She shows another side of herself on Funhouse.

just LOVED the "This Is How It Goes Down (Ft. Travis McCoy)" track!!!

and the Gym Class Heroes rap sounds awesome...

but the whole album
so slowtempo
I can't imagine it at stage
sucha boring show... i guess...
I was expecting more upbeat songs, after So What...

Anyways, thanks!!!

P!nk just keeps getting better and better. I've got to say though, since her album IS called Funhouse, you'd expect more upbeat songs like So What. But it doesn't matter to me. I love P!nk and have been with her since the getgo. You can tell most these songs are about her ex. My favorites would have to be It's All Your Fault, Mean, Bad Influence, I Don't Believe You, Please Don't Leave Me, Sober, and Ave Mary A. These are just the 10/10 ratings. The rest are pretty darn close. I'm buying this album for sure.

This album is really good, its just not what I expected from the record considering the lead single (So What) and the cover. I expected a bunch of fun catchy upbeat songs, but she slowed it down for this record. It will grow on me, but right now it's just fine.

I Don't Believe You
Crystal Ball
Glitter in the Air

There are three ballads. Are there really too many?? I swear.....

Thx a lot Ali:D

P!nk never disappoints. I've been a loyal fan since "Can't Take Me Home". This is a solid album, although it will still take some time for me to grow even closer to the album. My favorite tracks so far.

1. I Don't Believe You - Incredible, moving, great lyrics ("It's Like, You're the Swing Set, I'm the kid that falls")
2. Sober
3. So What
4. Bad Influence

Second favorite tracks
5. Glitter In the Air
6. It's all your Fault
7. Crystal Ball
8. Ave- Mary-A

I will definitely buy this album on the 28th as I've both her four other albums. I would love to see these songs live!

Sean : Songs can be slow or mid-tempo without necessarily being proper BALLADS. I haven't heard the album but I think I understand what people mean.

I agree with sean.
This album is amazing!
All the songs are great in their own way...
Maybe those of you should listen to it a little more and actually listen to the words bcuz they each have meaning.
She's going through a lot right now but she proves thats she's strong and she's gonna make it through this...
P!nk rocks!

I LOVE this album =D
might not be as great as her past album and the subject matter maybe a bit repetitive (I want you, I hate you, I loved you, eff you) but it does have pretty solid tracks.

THANKS ALI!

i think this is much better than "i'm not dead"...definitely sounds more like her
