I may be in the minority, but as an old American Idol fan, this season wasn't up to par. & I could honestly not have given two shits to which ever person won. I heard David Cook sing once, and it just reminded me of Daughtry. But honestly, neither have the star quality to make it big.
I was freakin when they called his name, cause honestly thought it would be Archuleta (couldn't stand him or his creepy Joe Simpson-esque dad)
they were both good wanted david a to win but o well they both got deal anyway

I am equally proud for both Davids, and I am happy that David Cook won, just as much as I would have been if Archuleta won. BOTH have a lot of talent, and both will do very well in the industry.
I'm also a David Archuleta fan, but I do feel happy for Cook. Plus Archuleta didn't look too letdown so I didn't mind so much. Hope both of them have good and long careers!

This was the most controversial vote for american idol. Anyway, who cares who won they will all have recording contracts.... let's see who will sell. This will be David Cooks second CD his first was a wash out. I just hope David Archulteta's Dad don't do anything more to screw up his son's career.
From the beginning of the show with Simon's apology I realized what was going on. Now it's over let's see who goes where.
never heard/saw him sing before... but it doesn't matter because i didn't want archuleta to win =). i hope this is the end for idol..
cook deserved to win more than archuleta. archuleta has a strong voice, but he doesn't exactly have a strong presence or star power. he's too weak, probly cause of his dad.
Yay, the right person won! If he really paces himself to make great hits, he might actually be my favorite idol ever! Second to Jordin Sparks though. :) Love her to death, don't hate.
