If you guys didn't notice already the blog was deleted due to the posting of Mariah Carey. Thankfully Angel was able to get the URL before someone else could have taken control over it. I'm trying to get things fixed now and hopefully it will all be fixed soon...

That sucks but it's not Mariah Carey deleting blogs. We all know it isn't really legal to post songs and this project has definitely been kept under wraps. I'm surprised that all this is happening though, it really sucks...

Blame the labels, not the artist! It's simply unfair to blame mariah. She's probably lying on a beach and sipping bacardi ;-) can't imagine her siting in front a pc and writing mails to blogger.com
The music industry still doesn't know how to handle all the changes. instead of seeing blogs as an opportunity for viral marketing, to promote artists and albums, they see them as a threat - which is absolutely not the case. music bloggers love music. they support artists.
But music labels are going back to the dark ages - they don't get that everything in the music biz has changes - no wonder: the bosses are pretty old and have no clue.
Most people still have problems with pcs and going on the internet itself - so how should or could one discuss such matters whit those people???
PS: I LOVE Mariah's new song: it's simple but catchy and I can't get it out of my head!

I don't think this is Mariah's fault. This is the lawyers at work. The same thing happened to Perez Hilton with X17 Online (it took him a week to get back up). Legal is now going after the host, not the website/blog. And google's lawyers are not about to spend a dime defending a blog, it's cheaper to just delete it and well within their rights.

Well I must clear up all this non-sense talk over here.
I wondered why this blogs weren't deleted much earlier.
It's obvious that the label people of universal just waited for the right moment, when a major artist, in this case it's mariah, releases the hot & new material. Is a big blogger posting the link then it gets shut down-So a lot of people who wanted to download the song look up the blog and get scared and shocked because the blog is gone and they won't download any songs again. To be honest the music industry is frustrated especially when songs of major artists get leaked.
And to all the people who said why this didn't happen to janet, britney, celine, jlo and co is because they aren't big artists anymore

When you get a really popular blog, you should protect yourself and move away from the blogspots of the world and get your own webspace. Blogs can still be deleted, but you get warnings and reaction time before it happens. It's all about protecting your work.
